RBG REEL

In keeping with the thematic line running through Nessa’s soon to be released album “Otherworld”, which is a dedication to the empowerment of women and nature… RBG was written by Rob Crozier (the bassist of Nessa) as a homage to an inspiring, powerful woman, Ruth Badar Ginsberg.

You may ask what is the connection of this Irish Reel to RBG?  Well in the Irish tradition if you look at the thousands of dances and their titles, they may seem not so relevant, but to the composer they may have been, whether it be a person in their life, an animal, a farm crop, a household chore, church or the sea shore.  And don’t forget a touch of the Irish humor.

RBG is on Nessa’s mind.  She spent her life pushing through adversity and fighting against gender discrimination as well as being the second female justice on the U.S. Supreme Court!

RGB Reel is a bit edgy at times, happy, has energy and drive, is catchy and sophisticated.  This Reel is dedicated to RBG for being a trail blazer and example of women’s potential and power!
